Privacy Policy

Our collection, use, disclosure and disposal of personal information about our clients and others is regulated by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

We are a registered partnership in the Province of Ontario. Our office is located at 59 Kirby Avenue, Unit 10B, Dundas, ON L9H 6P3.

1. Accountability

ONdronecamp is accountable for all of the personal information we collect, use, disclose, retain and dispose of during the course of our business. Our designated Privacy Officer is the Program Director, Ray Morrell.

2. Purpose of Collection

We collect personal information for the purpose of registering clients for our day camps. This information is used to administer our camp programs (booking and registering attendance, collecting and refunding payments, communicating with parents and guardians, etc.). We also collect personal information through our voluntary mailing list in order to communicate our products and services to prospective, current and former clients.

3. Consent to Collect

You consent to our collection of your personal information when you visit our website, register for our products and services, provide your email address for our mailing list, and related lawful uses and activities.

4. Limitations

We only collect the personal information required or necessary to provide any purchased products or services to you. This information is generally limited to the name and age of the client, their authorized parent/guardian’s name, contact details, and authorized persons who may drop off or pick up the client.

5. Use, Disclosure, and Retention

We use the personal information you provide to us in administering our day camp program. For example, creating a list of campers for attendance purposes, respecting any medical or allergy conditions or disabilities of the campers, contacting parents in the event of an emergency or for routine reasons, facilitating campers to participate in the Transport Canada remotely piloted aircraft systems examinations, and similar uses.

We only disclose personal information to the authorized parent/guardians, or with their consent, to our staff for the purposes of delivering the products or services to the clients, or to lawful authorities such as law enforcement, medical personnel, or to third-parties such as for group tickets for excursions we may include in our camp activities.

We only retain as much information as is required for normal course of business purposes, including taxation and government regulatory purposes, and only for the period required. For example, client name and payment information would be retained for up to six years plus the current tax year for the purposes of complying with Canada Revenue Agency requirements.

We may also use, disclose and retain personal information to legal representatives if required for a court matter or legal proceeding, or to a collection agency should an account balance remain unpaid after an extended period of time.

6. Accurate

We attempt to keep personal information as accurate as reasonably possible. We rely on you providing us accurate information. If you believe personal information we have is not accurate it is your responsibility to inform us and request that it be corrected.

7. Safeguards

We retain our paper and hard copy records of personal information is secure, locking cabinets and offices. Our digital information is stored in folders or drives requiring authorized access only.

Our website uses modern SSL (secure socket layers) encryption technology. We ensure our employees and contractors are aware of our Privacy Policy and trained on safeguarding and handling personal information.

8. Openness

Our privacy policy is posted on our website, and is also available on request from our offices.

We have designated a Privacy Officer to be responsible for compliance with privacy legislation and policies. You can contact the privacy officer, and request a copy of our privacy policy, or request copies of any of your personal information that we have collected or retained. If we no longer have your personal information, we will tell you how and when we disposed of it.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
